Review in 2020 and Plans for 2021

Failed to do at 2020:

  1. Keep learning to become an expert on Machine Learning. (I start to realize if I want to do this very well, I’ll need to master math first)

  2. Try anything to get money at home. (It turns out you need some certifications so that others can trust you. My dear university teacher GanYan trust me, but that’s not enough to sustain my life)

  3. Rebuild an opensource WeChat if I can. (Actually, there are a bunch of opensource chat apps available on Github, we don’t really need to build it ourselves.)

Have Done in 2020:

  1. Say Goodbye to school: https://github.com/yingshaoxo/success-people-who-dropped-out (I graduated, bro)

  2. I have read a lot of books, some of them are in Chinese, some of them are in English. For English books, such as Grokking Algorithms, C++ Crash Course, C++20 QUICK SYNTAX REFERENCE. For Chinese books, such as 爱你就像爱生命深度思维:透过复杂直抵本质的跨越式成长方法论性犯罪 精神病理与控制蚁道: 30岁前必须掌握的生存法则

  3. I built my body muscles within 2 months with every day 200 push-ups.

  4. In the last two months of 2020, I start to solve one algorithm problem each day, and sometimes, I use Python, Java, CPP, Goalng, Rust, Kotlin, Typescript to solve the same problem.

  5. I rebuild my English Speaking ability so that I could talk to foreigners without any problems.

  6. I Learned how to use Unity3D to make games by following the Unity official website’s tutorial. (I have learned 4 units)

  7. I learned how to use the flutter frontend-framework to build a cross-platform application.

  8. I start to work for a state-owned company in china.

  9. I found someone I love and someone who also loves me.

  10. I have earned my partial freedom and be independent of my parents temporarily.

Plan to do in 2021:

  1. Get started to learn high-level mathematics in a systematic way so I can take an exam to increase my education level. (I must leave the railway system to gain greater possibility in my life.)

  2. Keep the algorithm problem-solving process every day so that I can keep my brain active.

  3. See if I can keep the balance between work and life.
